Neem Oil

Neem oil is a vegetable oil obtained from cold pressing the seeds of the Azadirachta indica, belonging to the Meliaceae family. In India it is known as “Arishta” or "the tree capable of curing all diseases". The Arabs call it “Shajar-e-Mubarak” meaning “blessed tree".

Neem oil is made up of several substances, including triterpenes and fatty acids, in particular oleic acid and stearic acid, which make it similar to both olive oil and cocoa butter. This means that neem oil has interesting eudermic as well as moisturizing and emollient properties, and it integrates very well with the hydrolipidic film of the skin.

Neem oil has numerous other properties, including anti-parasitic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fungal ones, and it contains active ingredients that can counteract viruses, bacteria, and fungi. Neem oil seems to be one of the most effective natural remedies for insect bites and scalp parasites and also for animals and plants as an effective pesticide that is completely natural and eco-friendly.
